Beside the supply of new equipment, a further focus of BWG activities is the modernization of existing process and rolling mills.
The focus is on an increase of efficiency and output and a better overall performance, as well as on the exact planning of the revamping and commissioning phases and a steep re-starting ramp.
Examples of successful modernizations:
- Modernization of processing lines
Planning, simulation of processing sequences, tension diagrams of the complete lines, integration of new equipment such as temper mills, Levelflex® equipment, side trimming equipment, strip accumulators, coating lines etc., and modernization of entry and exit sections
- Modernization of coil handling equipment
Replacement of existing, outdated systems with more efficient equipment, integration in store management systems and PLCs, high velocity transport systems such as shuttle car systems, conversion to horizontal coil axis etc.
- Deburring equipment CLEANEDGE
Integration of BWG deburring equipment into existing installations such as continuous casting lines (exit section) or hot mills (entry section) in view of quality enhancement
- Handling equipment for billets and slabs
Replacement of existing, outdated systems with more efficient equipment, conversion of old pusher-type furnaces with slab chutes to discharging equipment with dischargers that have considerable lifting stroke.
