Aluminium Strip Floatation Annealing Ovens
In addition to oven systems for the coil coating industry, BWG also designs and supplies floatation ovens for the continuous annealing (soft or solution annealing) of aluminium coils.

With this equipment, the internal strip stresses from the cold rolling process are considerably reduced and evened out, at temperatures close to the melting point of the aluminium (oven temperatures up to 650 °C). Our high-performance LAY-ON-AIR® nozzle technology provides a secure and contact-free strip transport through the oven. The aluminium strip is formed into a sinus wave and floated almost crossbow-free through the annealing system.
The pre-aging of aluminium coils is an additional step in the thermal strip treatment process of modern annealing lines. The strip is reheated to a specific temperature before rewinding.
